Our Policies:
By accepting a quote or an estimate, you agree to all our policies stated below.
Payments
- For reoccurring mowing and maintenance, we only accept credit card on file, and we will bill each week.
- We can also do a 12-month plan where you are billed the same amount each month for 12 months each year, and we can do any of the services you want with that, unless it is greater than $200, then that will be separate.
- For one time mowing/small projects less than $1000 we accept checks, credit cards, and Venmo, although credit cards are encouraged and preferred.
- For large projects over $1000 we need 50% up front and 50% upon completion of the project and there will be a contract that will have to be signed by both us and the client. We will only accept checks, Venmo, or credit cards and there will be a 3% surcharge on credit cards.
- We do not accept cash for any reoccurring maintenance or large projects.
Mowing
- For reoccurring mowing, we only do weekly or bi-weekly service, unless there is nothing to cut due to lack of rain. We do not come on a semi-regular basis whenever you think it needs it, it is only either weekly or bi-weekly.
- Bi-weekly mowing will cost a significant amount more than weekly mowing and will most likely not result in the best-looking yard, especially in the spring/early summer when it is growing extremely fast.
- We will need a credit card on file before we begin service.
- In the summer when it dries up, we will keep you on our weekly schedule but may transition to a biweekly schedule if it does not need it on a weekly basis, and if you want to cancel services for that week, we will need a 48hr notice, otherwise we will still perform service that week.
- We try as much as possible to cut on the same day each week, but due to uncontrollable circumstances, such as bad weather, or equipment failures, we may have to come a different day, but we will inform you either by text message, phone call, or email. We may also have to change the day that we cut as our schedule changes, but we will let you know if we change the schedule.
- If there is any dog waste in the yard, there will be a $10 surcharge, and if there is a lot of it, we will not mow that area but will still charge the full amount plus the surcharge.
- If we have to come on a different day of the week than on the usual day, than the dog waste fee will be waived if you are not able to clean it up.
- If you need a dog waste removal service, we do not do that but can refer you to a company that we like to work with.
- If your dog is in the backyard when we are mowing, we will not cut that area but will still charge for the full service.
- We do not move trampolines or large kids toys but will trim around (but not under) them.
- There will be a fee of $100 if you decide to quit our services in the middle of the season, unless you give us a two-week notice, or are moving and will no longer need us to mow, but we will have to continue mowing until you sell your house.
- There will be no fee if you quit our services at the end of the mowing/leaf season.
- If we cause any damage, we will take care of it. We are fully insured and although we try to be as careful as possible, accidents still occur, but we will be up front and honest if anything should happen.
Leaves
- If you get leaves in your yard in the fall months, we can keep coming on a regular basis and mow them up, but without blowing them out of the beds/landscaping and without weed eating, or we can still come on a regular basis, but blow out the beds and weed eat if needed, either on a weekly or biweekly basis, but will charge extra, depending on the amount of leaves, or we can do two or three larger cleanups, which will cost a significant amount more than if we kept coming on a regular basis.
- If we mow for you during the mowing season, we also have to take care of your leaves (if you get leaves), otherwise there will be a $100 fee.
Large Projects
- For projects estimated to be over $10,000, there will be a $50 fee for coming up with the estimate, but that will be waived if you accept the estimate.
- For all projects over $1000, both us and the customer will have to sign a contract and 50% will be due upon signature of the contract and 50% will be due upon completion of the project.
- If there is a permit required, I will take care of all the necessary legal requirements and the permit fees will be included in the estimate/quote.
- For all projects, I will supply all the materials.
- If you want to change what you want in the middle of the project, there will be a change order and we will have to either sign a new contract with the updated amount, or will need the full amount of the change order before we continue with the change order.
- If we run into unexpected issues not caused by us, such as damage/rot behind an old deck that we are tearing out, we will have to do a change order or call someone else out to assess the damage if we cannot perform that scope of work or are not knowledgeable in that area. If you decide that you just want us to continue with the original plan, we will have to sign a waiver stating that you did not want the damage repaired and are now solely liable for any later failure due to that damage.
- Due to our reoccurring maintenance clients, we may have to start a project and then come and finish it the next week if it is too large to finish in the time that we have in the 1st week.
